PTA Renews Jazz License –

In pursuance of the Coverage Directive issued by the Federal Authorities, Pakistan Cellular Communications Restricted (Jazz) has signed a renewed license with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The license is renewed for a price of USD 486.2 Million for 15 years, out of which 50% of the quantity i.e. Rs. 44.54 Billion (equal to USD 243.1 million) has been deposited by Jazz and the remaining quantity might be paid in 5 equal annual installments together with relevant markup. The renewed license has enhanced phrases and situations for protection and High quality of Service.

The license renewal ceremony, held at PTA in the present day, was attended by Federal Secretary for IT & Telecommunication, Dr. Muhammad Sohail Rajput; Chairman PTA, Maj. Normal Amir Azeem Bajwa (R); Member Compliance & Enforcement (PTA), Dr. Khawar Siddique Khokhar, and senior administration of PMCL (Jazz), PTA, MOIT & FAB.
